Bidding on love (Westwood Commons)
February 19, 2013 (North Chili, NY) ─ Valentine’s Day at Westwood Commons got a little heated with an auction for dancing partners. Staff from DePaul’s administrative headquarters, including President Mark Fuller, stepped up to the block as Westwood Commons Activities Director Cathy Toney started the bidding.
“You’ve got lots of money on your table and we’ve plenty of dancing partners for you to pick from,” she said. “We hope you’re going to bid big on them.”
Armed with “Fuller bucks,” various dollar amounts emblazoned with DePaul President Mark Fuller’s face, residents started the bidding. After some fun and frenzied bidding, everyone partnered up to enjoy dancing to music provided by Diamond Jim Visiko of Greece.

The dietary staff provided a menu to match the festive affair, with shrimp cocktail, hors d’oevures, punch, cupcakes and chocolate-covered strawberries.
Resident Virginia Lockridge was the winner of the Valentine’s Day basket raffle. For more information about Westwood Commons, please contact Administrator Karen Shaffer at (585) 293-2060 or visit us on Facebook.
