Greetings from the Big Island (Woodcrest Commons)
September 20, 2013 (Henrietta, NY) ─ Drinks with umbrellas, steel drum music, homemade flower leis, sunny skies and warm temperatures set the perfect scene for a summer Luau at Woodcrest Commons, a DePaul Senior Living Community.
Residents and family members enjoyed pineapple ice cream floats and toasted coconut fruit kabobs while listening to steel drum music in the courtyard.
Hula dancer “Kini,” Jeanne Smith of Penfield, performed authentic Hawaiian dances even going so far as to get several employees involved in learning the moves to the song Tiny Bubbles! Pictured here enjoying the Luau are residents Joanne Hackett and Antonia Rios.
Residents got into the Luau spirit by creating their own flower leis. Pictured to the left, Woodcrest residents Rosanne Bourne, Betty Harris and Shirley Merton show off their colorful handiwork.
