Thanks to the Life Savers (Heath House)
September 26, 2013 (Lincolnton, NC) ─ As part of a National Assisted Living Week celebration, Heath House, a DePaul Senior Living Community, recently honored Lincoln County emergency service workers with a cookout lunch and cake. About 50 fire, police and ambulance personnel attended the lunch, making this year’s event the biggest yet.
“This is our way of giving back to the community that provides a safe and happy place that we call our home,” said Activities Director Katelyn Davis.
Held September 12, Davis said, the event was also hosted to honor the lives of those emergency service workers who lost their lives on 9/11. Pictured clockwise above are Lincolnton Police Sargent Spencer Summers and Captain Cynthia Monday; Lincoln County Sheriff David Carpenter; Marco Gonzalez of Lincoln County Emergency Medical Services, James Dunn of the Boger City Fire Department and Tanya Lynch of Lincoln County Emergency Medical Services; Major of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Post 700 Dylan Houser and Matt Williams, Paul Dupree and Shawn Denny of Lincoln County Emergency Services.
Sherriff Carpenter said it is very humbling for those individuals serving in emergency services to have the support of our business community.
“We are so appreciative of the act of kindness from the staff at Heath House as they took time away from their busy day to prepare lunch for us,” he said. “Words sometimes can’t totally express our gratitude for the staff and wonderful meal that day. Thanks for everything!”
