Elvis Has Left the Building (Cambridge House)

October 11, 2013 (Hildebran, NC) ─ Elvis may have died in 1977, but his spirit is bringing joy to all ages thanks to regional impersonator Ed Smith. At the age of 60, Smith has been keeping the memory of Elvis alive by providing tribute shows for nursing homes, senior groups and other community gatherings. He has performed in Taylorsville, Statesville, Monroe, Conover, Morganton, Newton and Hickory. He recently delighted audiences at Cambridge House, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Hildebran.

“Ed loves to meet new people and enjoys bringing a smile to their face,” said Activities Director Cheri Hahn.

Smith’s favorite place to perform is at church, where he can combine his love of gospel and desire to keep the memory of Elvis alive. His first CD, “Songs of Elvis with Ed Smith” will be coming out at the end of October.
