November 19, 2013 (Wallace, NC) ─ Dayspring of Wallace, a DePaul Senior Living Community, recently paid tribute to its 13 veterans.

Resident Robert Short was honored for his service in both the Navy and Army, along with Dayspring of Wallace residents Andy Mixon, Oliver Stoddard, Jack Albertson, Robert Short, Ron Renfroe, John Stevens, Jeffrey Alderman, Joe Larkins, Ken Roberts, David Farrior, Edward Patram, Emanuel Jones, and Wendell Stallings. The veterans received a certificate and pin in recognition of the sacrifices they made serving our country.

Residents sang along to patriotic music, and shared memories of living though and serving in times of war and peace.

“Our veterans shared many tears and touched the hearts of many staff members and peers as they shared their stories,” said Activities Director Lisa Rich.
