Honoring America’s Heroes (Glenwell)
November 21, 2013 (Cheektowaga, NY) ─ Veterans at Glenwell, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Cheektowaga, were honored with a patriotic tribute on Monday, November 11. A total of fifteen veterans were honored with certificates of appreciation for their sacrifices.

“Glenwell realizes the significance of celebrating each and every veteran from every war,” said Activities Director Scott Wieser. “As they get older, each year fewer and fewer Vets from WWII will be around, so we honor them as if it could be their last Veteran’s Day.”
Glenwell’s veterans include World War II veterans Angelo Chianta (Navy, Porter Master First Class), Daniel Majewski (Air Force Pilot/Engineer, Staff Sergeant), Orland Johnson (Army Medic, Corporal), Leo Bukowski (Navy, Master), Dominic Saviola (Army Ace Mechanic, Corporal), Stanley Mydlarz (Army); Korean veterans Edward Burke (Korean Army, 1st Lieutenant), Jerry Hatch (Army, PFC), Richard Augustyniak (Army, Sergeant) Robert Rybarczyk (Navy, 2nd Electrician) and Vietnam veterans Joe Kast (Navy, Seamen Apprentice), Curly Mayer (Navy, Commander), Joseph Jameson (Army, Specialist), and Glenwell’s Director of Dietary Fran Roselli (Army, ES Sergeant).
