Making Strides Toward a Cure (Woodcrest Commons)
November 11, 2013 (Henrietta, NY) ─ Woodcrest Commons, a DePaul Senior Living Community recently joined 10,000 other community members in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on October 20 at Frontier Field.
Participating in the walk were Woodcrest Commons Administrator Maryellen Borer, Activities Director Lindsay Lown, Receptionist Robin Guy and Case Manager Paul LaDue.
The team raised $725 for the walk by selling Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies, collecting spare change and raffling off gift baskets with items donated by area businesses. Woodcrest Commons would like to recognize Pharaoh’s Hairum, The Distillery, Bruster’s Real Ice Cream, Gro-Moore Farms, Read’s Ice Cream, Tony Pepperoni, Pizza Hut, Uno Chicago Grill, Lehigh Family Restaurant, Peppermint’s Restaurant, Genesee Country Campground, Yogurt City, Guys Pizza and Sue’s Finishing Touch Salon and Spa for donating the items for the gift baskets.
