DePaul Now Accepting Applications for the Riverside Apartments
January 10, 2014 (Buffalo, NY) ─ The DePaul Riverside Apartments, a newly-remodeled apartment program for income-eligible tenants located at 238 Ontario Street, is scheduled to open March 1, 2014. Applications for one- and two-bedroom apartments are now being accepted.
The DePaul Riverside Apartments are a conversion of Public School 60 (later known as Riverside Academy). The school has had a presence in Buffalo for over 100 years, serving as the educational foundation for the Black Rock neighborhood until recently. Closed for ten years, the school will soon have a new lease on life.
Apartments feature fully-equipped kitchens with a range/refrigerator and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV including basic cable service. Heat, hot water and electric are included in the rent. There is also individually-controlled heat and air conditioning as well as off-street parking.
Tenants have access to the community room, game room/computer room, and a secured storage area for each tenant. The building is 100 percent smoke free.
Rent is $600.00 per month for a one-bedroom apartment, and $700.00 per month for a two-bedroom apartment, with all utilities included. A security deposit equal to one month’s rent is required at the lease signing.
Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements with the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program and HOME Program.
