Let Me Call You Sweetheart (Westwood Commons)
February 21, 2014 (North Chili, NY) ─ Love was in the air at Westwood Commons annual Valentine’s Day Ice Cream Social. Staff and residents at the DePaul Senior Living Community in North Chili took time out of their day to celebrate their significant others.
Pictured to the left, Glen and Helen Stewart have been married for 67 years. The couple has two children, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
The Stewarts, who have spent their married life living in Rochester, moved to Westwood Commons two weeks ago.
Loran and Margaret Orsburn (right) have been married for 75 years. Residents of Westwood Commons for two years, the couple has three daughters and seven grandchildren.
They’ve lived in the Rochester area for all but one year early on which they spent in Washington, D.C. The Orsburn’s secret to a healthy marriage is to get married young. Margaret was 17-years-old when the couple tied the knot.
Residents were put to the challenge matching up staff members with photos of their significant others. Participating in the game were Assistant Administrator Robin George (with fiancée Jon), Administrative Assistant Donna Mulcahy (with husband Jim), Administrator Karen Shaffer (with husband Randy), Head of Housekeeping Krystyna Andrezejczyk (with significant other Mark), Assistant Resident Care Director Tonya Kessler (with husband Frank) and Resident Care Director Debbie Sutera (with husband Doug).
