Father’s Day Barbecue (Hickory Village Memory Care)

June 13, 2014 (Hickory, NC) ─ Dads’ took front seat at Hickory Village Memory Care’s recent Father’s Day barbecue dinner. Cowboy boots, burlap and bandanas set the country theme, with Amos Howard’s Brew Pub serving up smoked pork barbecue, baked beans, coleslaw, banana pudding, tea and lemonade.

Hickory Village Memory Care Residents with their families

Families of residents were presented with the photos when they arrived for an evening barbecue. Pictured here are residents Fred Hunsucker with family members Phyllis Long and Terry Hunsucker as well as resident Johnny Thompson and his family Sheliar Abernathy and Donna Nash.

“It was a nice, laid-back atmosphere and families enjoyed good conversation and quality time together,” said Activities Director Anna Wilson.
