August 26, 2014 (North Chili, NY) ─ A resident of Westwood Commons since 2010, Mary Sherry turned 100 years old on August 15th.

Mary Sherry is pictured on the left with a friend during a recent birthday celebration and at 28-years-old on the right. A native of Oswego, New York, Sherry moved to Rochester after marrying her husband William who died 17 years ago. The couple did not have any children, but did have the pleasure of spoiling many nieces and nephews. Mary worked as a saleswoman at B. Foreman’s Co. Department Store for 28 years. For fun, she enjoyed bowling.

Mary’s secret to longevity is “eating your veggies and getting plenty of rest,” she said. Please join us in wishing Mary Sherry a very happy 100th birthday!
