Income-Eligible Housing Approved in West Seneca (Ebenezer Square)

August 13, 2014 (Rochester, NY) – DePaul Community Services, Inc. has been approved for the development of a 100-unit income-eligible apartment complex in West Seneca, Erie County, officials from the Rochester not-profit organization announced Tuesday. The $20 million Ebenezer Square project was approved Monday by the West Seneca town board after previously being approved by the town planning board.

DePaul hopes to close on the property, including a vacant department store, on Seneca Street this month, DePaul President Mark Fuller said. Plans call for demolishing the current structure and constructing a 102,000-square-foot, three-story structure with 96 one-bedroom and four two-bedroom units with kitchens and bathrooms. The housing community will be open to income-eligible tenants and people with a mental health diagnosis.
