A Cause Close to the Heart (Twelve Oaks)
October 17, 2014 (Mt. Airy, NC) ─ Twelve Oaks, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Mt. Airy, raised over $1,000 for the 2014 Mt. Airy Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Twelve Oaks was instrumental in getting a Walk to End Alzheimer’s started in Mt. Airy three years ago and they’ve been participating each year since. This year, a total of 25 teams with 179 registered walkers raised over $24,000.

“The Alzheimer’s walk is so important to us because it affects so many of our residents,” said Activities Director Samantha Stanley. “We are advocates for our residents and we are doing all we can to ensure our residents have a voice and to do our part to raise money for a cure.”
