Valentine’s Day is for Sweethearts (Woodcrest Commons)

February 20, 2015 (Henrietta, NY) ─ Residents at Woodcrest Commons, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Henrietta, had plenty of reasons to feel the love on Valentine’s Day with everything from crafts and musical entertainers to sweet treats and a photo booth!

Residents got crafty making happy heart patchwork paintings, heart yarn wreaths and charm bracelets for their Valentines. Local musicians Geoff Clough and Cyndi Kingsley serenaded the seniors with love songs from famous African American singers.

On Valentine’s Day, residents enjoyed red velvet mousse parfaits which they made, chocolate dipped shortbread cookies and strawberry lemonade. In addition, residents vied for prizes during Be My Valentine Bingo and by guessing how many hugs and kisses were in a jar.
