Women on a Mission (Hickory Village Memory Care)

March 24, 2015 (Hickory, NC) ─ Sandy Ridge Baptist Church’s Women on a Mission know how to host a good party. Residents of Hickory Village Memory Care, a DePaul Senior Living Community can attest to that!

Four times a year, the Women on a Mission come to celebrate resident birthdays. And recently, they brought some Irish fellowship and goodies including fresh fruit, brownies, fudge, cookies, cupcakes and applesauce cake.

April 12-18 is National Volunteer Week. Hickory Village Memory Care has many volunteers throughout the year. Reverend Roberts and the congregation and choir from Morning Star Baptist Church and Reverend Payne and the congregation from Welcome Chapel Baptist Church each provide services twice a month. In addition, the Puppet Ministry from Corinth Baptist Church recently joined Hickory Village as volunteers. Their group consists of young adults that use puppets to share the love of God.

“Volunteers are a breath of fresh air and energy in our community,” said Hickory Village Activities Director Anna Wilson. “Our volunteers are patient, caring and we are so very thankful for each of their contributions.”
