The Henrietta Fire District provides both fire protection and first responder medical services for the over 45,000 residents of Henrietta, including 21 miles of New York State Thruway and 10-miles of I-390.

The District responded to 4,339 calls in 2013, everything from car accidents and medical emergencies to ducklings stuck in a storm drain or rescuing a Rochester Institute of Technology student stuck in a manhole. The department also has a safety trailer which visits area schools teaching children fire safety and how to escape a fire in their homes.
