A Seat with a View (Pee Dee Gardens)
September 1, 2015 (Florence, SC) ─ Residents at Pee Dee Gardens, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Florence, have even more reasons to enjoy the great outdoors thanks to American Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant picnic tables which were recently donated by the Florence Elks Lodge #1020.

The Florence Elks Lodge is one of more than 2,000 lodges across the country working to improve their communities with programs such as college scholarships, drug awareness, veterans programs and the Community Investments Program (CIP), which was used to benefit Pee Dee Gardens.
“The South Carolina Elks Association chose to put our State’s efforts into the South Carolina Chapter Alzheimer’s Association,” said Florence Elks Lodge #1020 President Scotty Enzor. “This disease affects not only the patient but the family left to care for the loved one. The Florence Elks Lodge was proud to spend time with those affected and those that care for them.”
Members of the local lodge recently presented Pee Dee Gardens with four ADA compliant picnic tables, complete with umbrellas during a summer barbecue.
“What a wonderful donation from the local Elks Lodge #1020,” said Administrator Sheri Scott. “Our residents are so excited to be able to have a place to sit and enjoy the beautiful weather. We have planned several outdoor events since receiving the picnic tables!”
