Honoring Our Nation’s Veterans (Glenwell)
November 10, 2015 (Cheektowaga, NY) ─ Veterans Day is an opportunity to recognize some of the 23 million brave men and women who have selflessly served our country and risked their lives to protect our freedoms. Glenwell, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Cheektowaga, has the honor of caring for several area veterans.
Arthur Abramowski served in the Army in Germany
during World War II where he helped to liberate the
German concentration camps.
Clarence Barr served as a Third Regiment Corporal
in the Army during the Korean War.
James Calafitis served as a First Class Seaman
in the Navy, stationed in Okinawa and
other Pacific venues during World War II.
