Honoring Our Nation’s Veterans (Woodcrest Commons)
November 11, 2015 (Henrietta, NY) ─ Veterans Day is an opportunity to recognize some of the 23 million brave men and women who have selflessly served our country and risked their lives to protect our freedoms. Woodcrest Commons, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Henrietta, has the honor of caring for several area veterans.
Charles Doerrer served as a Sergeant in the
Air Force during the Vietnam War.
David Hackett served as an Army Sergeant in Italy.
John Hicks served as a Specialist 4
in the National Guard in Moundsville, West Virginia.
Ben Springett served in the Air Force
as a Sergeant E-4 at the McChord Air Force Base during Vietnam.
Elvin Skibinski served as a Seaman E3
1st class in the Marines, stationed in the Arctic Circle.
Also living at Woodcrest Commons is veteran Phil Fuoco, a Corporal in the Army who served in Germany, France, Italy and Korean during World War II and the Korean War. Join us in honoring these and other veterans sacrifices with this special tribute video featuring residents from DePaul programs in New York, North Carolina and South Carolina: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgEFdgHEwyU.
