Choirs Raising Voices and Spirits (Twelve Oaks)
January 16, 2016 (Mt. Airy, NC) ─ Several area children’s choirs helped get residents at Twelve Oaks, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Mt. Airy into the holiday spirit with performances throughout December.
The 30-member White Plains Elementary Chorus sang at Twelve Oaks in December. Pictured here is Twelve Oaks resident Carl Murray and fourth-grader Eli Jenkins as well as resident Ruth Sechrist with choir member Sadie Hayes.
The Cedar Ridge Elementary Chorus also visited the DePaul Senior Living Community to share seasonal favorites.
Pictured here are Twelve Oaks resident Dot Vernon with 4th grader Emily Bruner and residents June Branscome and Claude Branch with Cedar Ridge choir member Riley Pennington. The White Plans and Cedar Ridge choirs participate in a fall and spring concert together at Antioch Baptist Church. The East Surry Chorus also visited Twelve Oaks over the holiday season.
“Residents and staff are so grateful for the generosity of the Mt. Airy community for sharing their talents, time and donations to help make the season brighter,” said Activities Director Anna Burford.
