Out to Lunch with Area Seniors (Wexford House)

February 29, 2016 (Denver, NC) ─ Comradery, music and lunch are something the residents at Wexford House, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Denver, always look forward to on the third Thursday of each month. Monthly lunches hosted by area churches have become a regular outing for Wexford House seniors!

In addition to a delicious free lunch, Wexford House residents enjoyed socializing with other area seniors and entertainment from the High Point Presbyterian Home Band (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2t4F2MCZWDQ), a group of musicians, average age 83, who perform using improvised instruments made from typical household items.

“Our community is so blessed to have churches that take turns hosting senior luncheons which are open to the community,” said Activities Director Leslie Spinner. “It’s nice opportunity for the residents to see old friends that they may have lost touch with.”
