October 21, 2016 (Winston-Salem, NC) ─ Residents at Southfork, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Winston-Salem, recently donned their finest royal attire for a Prince and Princess photoshoot as part of their National Assisted Living Week celebration which took place September 11-17.

Pictured above are Southfork residents Mabel Griggs, Mary Hairston, Rose Mary Reilly and Donald Hauser and Activities Director Angel Parrish.

“You’re never too old to dress up,” said Parrish. “It brought out smiles and laughter in residents and staff alike!

In addition to a fairy tale-themed photo shoot, residents celebrated National Assisted Living Week with cupcakes, dancing and a balloon release to kick-off the celebration. “Keep Connected,” the theme behind NALW, was an opportunity to recognize the importance of face-to-face connections which are formed between assisted living staff members, residents and their families.
