Woodridge Believes
January 12, 2017 (Monroe, NC) ─ The magic of Christmas is alive and well at Woodridge, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Monroe. There was plenty of excitement building up to the holidays as residents made cookies, including Alma Anthony pictured below, and edible Christmas trees!
Thanks to the generosity of some volunteers known as Gary and friends, residents were able to shop for presents for friends and family at no cost. The volunteers also provided gift bags, homemade cookies and punch. Residents Libby Hess and Bonnie Outen are pictured here at the Woodridge Christmas store. Other residents made cards and gifts for their family members during crafting activities, such as the snowman tea candle ornament being displayed by Judith Cairns.
Residents enjoyed touring several Christmas light displays in Indian Trail, decking the halls with many Christmas trees, and a family Christmas gathering complete with seasonal carols and hymns provided by Clear Creek Baptist Church whose members brought stockings filled with goodies for each resident. The holiday was completed with a visit from Santa.
Pictured above with Santa are Woodridge residents William Hildreth, Betty Broome and Bea Brantley, as well as Oliver Moore. For more information about Woodridge, please contact Administrator Janis Carroll at (704) 225-0011 or visit us on Facebook.
