Woodcrest Commons Embraces Winter

February 10, 2017 (Henrietta, NY) ─The groundhog saw his shadow, signifying six more weeks of winter. Residents at Woodcrest Commons have no complaints! From crafts and scavenger hunts to parties and community outings, there’s been no shortage of ways to fight cabin fever at the DePaul Senior Living Community in Henrietta.

“David said he enjoyed the activity because when he was young, he literally did hunt for groundhogs,” said Activities Director Lindsay Lown. “He lived on a farm and they had to control the groundhog population because the horses would step in their holes and break their legs. He got a kick out of it.”

Also on the calendar for February is a trip to the Waffle Factory and Webster Museum, Bowling at Bowl-A-Roll, National Alka Seltzer Day Science Experiments and a Mardi Gras party.
