Friends of All Shapes and Sizes (Prestwick Village)
April 20, 2017 (Laurinburg, NC) ─ Children from God’s Little Angels Daycare came to Prestwick Village in search of Easter eggs and left with new friends. The daycare and the DePaul Senior Living Community in Laurinburg have struck up an intergenerational partnership! Preschool and pre-kindergarten students from the daycare have been celebrating holidays including Halloween, Christmas and Easter with seniors at Prestwick Village for several years.

The youth hunted for over 400 eggs hidden across the grounds at Prestwick Village while staff and residents watched in delight! Three special eggs were hidden with cash prizes in them and after the hunt, the children received bags of candy while mingling with the residents during an Easter party. Prizes were also given to the boy and girl who collected the most eggs.

“We want to show the children that friends come in all shapes and sizes, and it doesn’t matter how old you are, you still can have a friend,” said Robin Tucker, an administrator from God’s Little Angels Daycare.
