Gearing up for Summer Days (Woodridge)
June 19, 2017 (Monroe, NC) ─ Longer days means warm breezes, colorful flowers and fresh fruits and vegetables! Residents at Woodridge, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Monroe, are gearing up for summer with gardening therapy, farmers markets and seasonal crafts!
Seniors soaked up the flavors of summer at the Union County Farmers Market, scooping up fresh produce and homemade cookies! Pictured above, Woodridge residents Fred Gibbs, Gloria King, and Jean Adams. Back at Woodridge, residents also started up their own flower garden from seeds! Also pictured above, William Hildreth shows off his seedling sprout while Carolyn Rawls, Alma Anthony and Patricia Coffey soak up rays in the garden!
When the dog days of summer hit, Woodridge residents will be beating the heat in style with these crafty, handmade fans! Pictured here are residents Kathryn Stilwell and Patricia Coffey with their decorative hand fans!
