May 18, 2018 (Mt. Airy, NC) – When the opportunity to spread the word of the gospel to residents at Twelve Oaks, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Mt. Airy came about, Tom Coiro jumped at the opportunity! The Mt. Airy resident visits Twelve Oaks on Wednesday mornings, conducting church services and singing gospel hymns with residents. He said his work evangelizing is very fulfilling.

“The spirit of God, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, are given to us to edify and help others,” said Coiro. “When we move through the spirit this way, we find great joy and peace within ourselves by helping to lift up and encourage others.”

“I try to do whatever doors God opens up for me,” said Coiro, an ordained minister who lives in Mt. Airy.

“I enjoy when Tom comes and shares his Love and wisdom about Jesus,” said Activities Director Tina Allen. “He is so personal, and has such a gentle spirit about him and I think the residents really relate to him.”
