Free Wheelin’ with the Blue Knights (Southfork)
November 9, 2018 (Winston-Salem, NC) ─ The North Carolina Chapter 19 of the Blue Knights, an International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, paid their second visit this year to residents at Southfork, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Winston-Salem.
Pictured above, Blue Knight David Hester gives Southfork Personal Care Assistant Felicia Loggins a ride on his motorcycle. Also pictured checking out the motorcycles are Southfork residents Brenda Bailey, Buford Burcham, Lydia Rivera and Judy Sink. The Blue Knights motorcycle club consists of retired or full-time working law enforcement officers.
“Law enforcement is a public service organization,” said club president Al Hicks. “It’s kind of instilled in us to be involved and serve the public.”
Pictured on the left are members of the club president Al Hicks, Dick Hughes, Angie Hicks, vice-president Buddy Russ, secretary Gary Sink, Wanda Baity and David Hester.
“Everybody seems to love motorcycles, from age 1 to 91,” said Hicks. “They are pretty to look at and a lot of folks have either ridden one at some point in time or know somebody who did.”
