Random Acts of Kindness (Wexford House)
July 3, 2019 (Denver, NC) ─ Residents and staff at Wexford House, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Denver, have recently been the recipients of some heartwarming random acts of kindness. From personal hygiene care packages to ice cream and cupcakes, the generosity of neighbors has been abundant!
Members of the Thankful, Obedient Women Expressing Love (TOWEL) Club recently donated bags filled with body wash, puzzle books, socks and much more! In addition, the group sang hymns with residents. Pictured above is Wexford House resident Nancy Killian with TOWEL club member Arlinda Sherard.
Also pictured is Wexford House resident Josephine Johnson with members Betty Frazier, Janice Lindsey, Arlinda Sherard, Geneva Tinsley, Betty Burris and Sarah Johnson. The TOWEL club meets once a month to discuss ways to give back to their community.
“We’re helping each other, being blessed and expressing our love,” said Sherard. “God blessed us so we can bless others.”
Residents were recently treated to an ice cream social thanks to the generosity of the Food Lion on South Highway 16. Pictured above, Food Lion employees Taylor Boswell and Michelle Penrod and Manager William Cloud, pictured with Wexford House resident Phebe Cannup, serve ice cream and a plethora of toppings, along with smiles!
“We had a wonderful time,” said Cloud. “The residents and staff members were super ecstatic. It was such a humbling experience to connect with all of them.”
