Three Cheers for Wexford House
August 23, 3019 (Denver, NC) ─ Cheerleaders from Bandys High School in Catawba recently paid a surprise visit to Wexford House, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Denver!
Pictured clockwise above are cheerleaders Jocelyn F., Carly F. Morgan D., Abbey D., Camryn H., Maddie S., Maddie F. and Jasmine B. with resident Rick Taylor; cheerleaders Skylar B. and Jordan T. with resident Alda Bean; cheerleaders Whitney S., Gabby R., Shelby K. and Maddie S. with resident Betty Graham, and cheerleaders Alannah M. and Lauren B. with resident Nancy Killian.
The junior varsity and varsity squad, pictured left, recently stopped in to spread cheer in the form of handmade cards filled with positive, uplifting messages.
“The girls were very excited to get out in the community and to give back,” said Carol Parker, an online facilitator at Brandys High School and head coach for the cheerleading teams. “If all 37 girls perform one random act of kindness each day, imagine what an impact that would make!”
The Brandys High School cheerleading squad is hoping to return to Wexford House again around Thanksgiving.
