July 29, 2020 (North Tonawanda, NY) ─ There’s a regular cornucopia of produce coming from the gardens at Wheatfield Commons, a DePaul Senior Living Community in North Tonawanda, New York! Residents have been savoring the flavors of summer thanks to the Garden Club which meets once a week!

Residents have been helping with watering and weeding the garden which includes summer squash, sweet green peppers, cucumbers, zucchini and a variety of tomatoes. Pictured clockwise above tending to and harvesting goodies are Wheatfield Commons residents Christine Pruetz, Lillian Hall, Ruth Laese and Earl Huckins.

“They love getting outside to do something productive and to snack on our cucumbers,” said Activities Director Laurie Tierney.
