Crafts from the Heart at Pee Dee Gardens
October 23, 2020 (Florence, SC) ─ Crafty hands makes for happy hearts Residents at Pee Dee Gardens, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Florence, have had their hands and hearts full of Pinterest-worthy homemade projects for themselves and for others!
Pictured above, left to right, Pee Dee Gardens resident Christine Cash works on an anchor painting while Shirley Pearson and Sinthia Murphy make a candy corn-themed decoration.
Residents and staff also collaborated on a random act of kindness for the teachers and staff at the nearby Sneed Middle School. Staff at Pee Dee Gardens dietary department prepared 85 meals including chicken, green beans, yams and cakes. Each meal also included paper fortune cookies made by residents and filled with positive sentiments about teachers. Pictured making a fortune cookie is resident Callie Streater.
