October 21, 2020 (Canandaigua, NY) ─ Residents donned their dirndl and lederhosen to celebrate Oktoberfest at Horizons, a DePaul Senior Living Community.

An important part of the Bavarian culture, Oktoberfest is the world’s largest beer festival and travelling funfair held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. The folk festival has traditionally run from mid- or late September to the first Sunday in October.

Horizons recently hosted its own celebration complete with a photo booth, beer tasting, crafts, trivia, a raffle and Oktoberfest-themed lunch. Pictured clockwise above are residents Eugene and Louise Huck, Connie Fleury, winner of the raffle basket Carole Flint and Peter Vogelaar.
