Three Cheers for Community at Dayspring of Wallace

March 22, 2021 (Wallace, NC) ─ From cheering on the home team to receiving donations from a local non-profit, seniors at Dayspring of Wallace, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Wallace, are feeling the community spirit!

Dayspring At Wallace Three Cheers

Residents recently cheered on the home team during a parade to celebrate the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs making this year’s basketball playoffs. Everyone at Dayspring of Wallace was especially excited because Resident Care Director Charmaine Owens’ son is on the team! Residents and staff waved signs and cheered as the team bus, led by the local fire and police departments, drove by the senior living community.  Charmaine is pictured holding the number five balloon and Merrimon Gravely is pictured with the sign.

Community spirit also showed up in the form of a generous donation of 130 stuffed bears for residents from Gladly The Cross-Eyed Bear. Pictured with their new bears are Rose Peacock and Linda Teachey. For more information about the unique story behind this non-profit’s name and mission, visit www.gladlythecross-eyedbear.org/.
