February 21, 2022 (Cheektowaga, NY) ─Residents at Glenwell, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Cheektowaga, are finding many reasons to celebrate and enjoy life’s little pleasures.

Pictured top left, Catherine Wilkins gets a visit from the Glenwell groundhog during a celebration that included a match the shadow to the groundhog game and Teddy Grahams in a pudding cup.

Pictured top right, Angeline Cruver gets into the winter spirit with a snowman sock craft. Residents embraced the season by learning about the history of ice cream during a virtual tour of ice cream parlors around the world using Rendever virtual reality technology, all while enjoying ice cream sundaes.

Pictured bottom left, Assistant Resident Care Director Rhonda Roberts dresses up for Black History Month. Glenwell residents explored Black History with Rendever virtual reality technology, enjoyed soul food prepared by the Dietary Department and read poetry and listened to music of the Civil Rights Movement. Posters featuring African American and Black scientists, politicians, singers, writers, political activities, dancers, athletes, investors and artists were also on display in the halls.

Pictured bottom right, Ronald Janicki enjoys a Valentine’s Day photo shoot. Residents celebrated the season of love with heart-shaped red velvet sugar cookies, heart paintings and games including finishing the lyrics to love songs!
