Celebrating and Reminiscing at Glenwell
March 25, 2022 (Cheektowaga, NY) ─ Residents at Glenwell recently took a stroll down memory lane at the DePaul Senior Living Community in Cheektowaga.
Tupperware nostalgia made for a fun conversation while whipping up a batch of homemade Chex Mix. From popular snacks of their youth to memories of Tupperware parties, residents recalled some of the most popular style containers including the pitcher/mixing bowl the salt and pepper shakers and the lettuce keeper, which all agreed was never used for it’s actual intended purpose. Pictured top row, left to right, are Mary Matre and Paul Armbruster.
Glenwell celebrated Women’s History Month by discussing some of the incredible inventions created by women including flat bottom paper bags, the windshield wiper and the ironing board. Among some other inventions were the coffee filter, held by Ruby Joiner pictured bottom left, and chocolate chips displayed by Joann Schascheck pictured bottom right.
