May 20, 2022 (Cheektowaga, NY) ─ A stroll down memory lane, some friendly competition, and being showered with love are just some of the ways seniors at Glenwell, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Cheektowaga, have been keeping busy and engaged!

Glenwell residents took a trip back in time to the 1930s and 40s, whipping up a Chocolate Depression cake (containing no milk, eggs or butter) and reminiscing with items including a 30s baby carriage, a View-Master from the 40s, a traveling toaster pictured with Paul Armbruster, a torch, clothing patterns pictured with Marilyn Deans, books, utensils and Depression Glass.

Residents had a blast decorating cupcakes for the Glenwell Derby! Pictured bottom right, Mary Matre was one of two residents who won a 100 Grand candy bar for picking the winning horse. Pictured bottom left, Jean Bautz was surprised by an early Mother’s Day flower arrangement from her grandchildren!
