April 12, 2024 (Lockport, NY) ─ No bones about it, there have been plentiful opportunities to make fun memories and mark momentous milestones at Heritage Manor of Lockport, a DePaul Senior Living Community.

With Dog Therapy Appreciation Day on April 11 and National Animal Therapy Day on April 30, seniors at Heritage Manor of Lockport are quite familiar with the therapeutic benefits of the numerous pets that visit all year long. More recently, seniors celebrated Administrator Shannon Radlich’s dog Birdie’s first birthday with a party complete with snacks including ‘pupperoni’, a ‘barkuterie’ board, homemade dog bone-shaped cookies, and bookmarks for residents. Pictured top row, left to right, Vera Mangiafesto makes the cookies for the party and Birdie oversees Janice Blumrick’s handiwork in making dog collars to donate to the Niagara County SPCA.
