Inspiring Generations at Glenwell

September 20, 2024 (Cheektowaga, NY) ─   A celebration spanning the ages ushered in National Assisted Living Week (NALW) from September 8-14 at Glenwell.  Seniors and staff of the DePaul Senior Living Community in Cheektowaga embraced this year’s ‘Inspiring Generations’ theme with creativity and conviviality.

In the spirit of the 1970s, residents and staff sported colorful DIY shirts and competed in a grocery price guessing game and Plinko, using iN2L by LifeLoop technology. Pictured top row, left to right, sporting their tie dyes are Karen Mozingo, Mary Janowski, Paul Armbruster and Joseph Bell.

For the 1980s, Glenwell seniors made JELL-O creamsicle poke cake, a popular 80s dessert. Pictured bottom row, left to right, are Beverly Ziemann and Sally Watson.

Glenwell wrapped up National Assisted Living Week with a roaring 20s themed social complete with refreshments at the speakeasy, music from Huff and Steve, dancing, and plenty of laughter. Staff and residents came adorned with flapper-inspired headbands, necklaces and other attire to add to the vintage vibes.
