Inspiring Generations at Wheatfield Commons
September 23, 2024 (North Tonawanda, NY) ─ Seniors of Wheatfield Commons, a DePaul Senior Living Community in North Tonawanda, are embracing their golden years with creativity and conviviality and many celebrations including National Assisted Living Week (NALW), recognized September 8-14.
In line with this year’s NALW theme ‘Inspiring Generations,’ Wheatfield Commons took a step back to the 1960s with a retro photo booth, handmade tie-dye shirts, music from John Rena, bean bag Twister and ice cream! Pictured top left enjoying the festivities are Joy Richardson and Eleanor Nopper.
Also part of the NALW were Circus Day activities including a bullseye game, themed photos and a visit from Nova the goat. Pictured top right, Ruth Helfinstine clowns around and pictured lower right, Dorothy Getty and Grace Fiore enjoy fresh popcorn on the patio. Pictured bottom left, Ann Leitch participates in a drum circle facilitated by KB Percussion Adventures!
Summer wrapped up with a luau-themed family picnic! Pictured above on left is Renee Young and family and on right is Carl Walbert.
