Honoring Service and Gratitude at Wheatfield Commons
December 4, 2024 (North Tonawanda, NY) ─ The season of gratitude has taken center stage at Wheatfield Commons, a DePaul Senior Living Community in North Tonawanda, as residents recognized Veterans Day and National Gratitude Month as well as enjoyed connection and joy through engaging social activities.
Wheatfield Commons reflected on those who served in the military, sharing heartfelt thanks for sacrifices made and freedoms cherished. Two residents were honored with certificates including Navy Veteran Earl Keith Brooks, pictured top row on the left, and Army Veteran Thomas Riek, pictured top row in the middle.
Pictured top row on the right, Nicole Beedle expressed what she is thankful for in honor of National Gratitude month with a gratitude jar craft activity.
Pictured bottom row on left, Dorothy Getty and Gladys Guize donned fancy scarves and enjoyed a lively conversation on the theme of friends and family during Tea Talk! Pictured bottom row in middle, Janet Berent engaged her creativity with an owl craft. And pictured bottom row on the right, Christine Pruetz got into the spirit with a festive Thanksgiving photo shoot.
